This week I took a class on relief printing on the Vandercook press, and I got to do my first linocut! Honestly I took the class more for the linocut than the Vandercook, which I had used once before with letterpress. The class was led by Icarus Key and held at The Soapbox, which is a true community gem. I really vibe with the type of people who are into print!

A progression - I started with vision boards that remind me of what edges of myself I wanted to push. Each year I find myself moving further away from words and just wanting images. It lets me redefine and find new meaning as I reflect on it throughout the year. It is becoming like my own personal tarot card for the year.

This photography workshop was powerful. The space, the safety, and the alignment with my values was inspiring and it re-connected me to the power of photography.

I forgot how hard it was to do everything at once - giving direction, finding the right light, and correcting little details in the shots.

While in San Francisco over the summer, I was fortunate enough to visit the Color Factory - a 12,000 square foot color immersion experience. 

We time traveled back from Thailand to California this week.

The terraced rice paddies set a slow rhythm to our two months living in Indonesia and were clearly an integral part of life in Bali.
